St Paul sometimes struggled with who he was and why he acted as he did; the things he did that he should not have done, the things he should not have, but in fact, did. We have at one time or another bristled because we believe that someone had misunderstood or misread us. In our prayer life may we pray for greater humility to accept that an outsider’s take on us may at time be more accurate than our own cozy illusions about ourselves.
