When asked by a lawyer about who is to be considered a neighbor, Jesus responded with the story of the Good Samaritan; it is a story which is as relevant today as it was in the first century, thus every encounter we experience is a meeting with a neighbor. In our prayer life today may we reflect on the fact that we don’t get to choose who is the Samaritan and who is the neighbor in the ditch.
