INTENTION FOR TODAY (December 3): In our imaginations we tend to compress the events surrounding our Lord’s birth: the arrival in Bethlehem, the birth, the arrival of the shepherds, and the appearance of gift laden magi. In truth those event were spread out over an indeterminate period of time. In our prayer life today may we be reminded that our faith journey takes place not in an instant, but over days, months, weeks, and years. May we always take pleasure in the journey.
